Hi Everyone! Here is just a little bit about me. I've always loved creating art ever since I was little. After going through art all the way into high school, I was accepted into the Visual Arts Studies Program at the University of Texas in Austin (Hook 'Em!) where I received my BFA. I was hired straight out of college in the Katy Independent School district where I taught for four amazing years. I was able to start up the first art club at my school as well as create an informal program based on creating multiple art projects with students in Life Skills that weren't able to come in during regular instruction time. Now I'm starting my sixth year as an art teacher and my second year at Caldwell Heights Elementary school in Round Rock ISD! Over the years I've had the privilege of volunteering at some incredible places! I was a studio intern at the Arc of the Arts in Austin. Also, the past three summers I was an Arts in Medicine volunteer at Texas Children's West Campus Infusion Center and last summer was at St. Davids Children's Hospital in Austin. Every year I also take part in the Via Colori Street festival in Houston that raises money for the Center for Hearing and Speech. When I'm not at school I'm usually hanging out with my unbelievably adorable dog Jesse and my friends and family. Please make sure to check in periodically to see the amazing creations my Caldwell Heights Eagles will be working on this year!
